A VILLAGE CALLED FUCKING

Fucking is a village in Austria, near salzburg. The village is known as "Fucking" since at least the year 1070. Tourists often take photos by the sign-post with the name of the town, this is the most stolen sign of the whole Austria.
In 2005 the signs were reinforced with cement and steel to prevent tourists and thiefs from robing them.
In 2004 there was a referendum to change the name of the village, but the fuckers ( if that is the name of the inhabitants of the place, and with all due respect) voted against it. I suppose it was because they were afraid of loosing tourism.
